Collections Specialist

Responsibilities

We are looking for a self-driven and experienced Collection Specialist to join our team in Clearwater.  Acting as a bridge between our Accounting and Customer Support teams by helping our clients clear their missed or outstanding payments.

  • Functions in a fast-paced goal-orientated environment to reduce delinquent accounts
  • Delivers superior performance and results against KPI goals
  • Proactively reaches out to delinquent accounts to collect payment to avoid lapse in services
  • Takes inbound calls to collect payment and reactivate services that have lapsed due to non-payment
  • Assists in the efforts to update contact, company, and billing information to obtain payment
  • Assists with providing renewal quotes to clients for upcoming renewals
  • Provides all accounts receivable, customer service and collections efforts for assigned accounts
  • Provides customers with a great experience that increases their lifetime value
  • Delivers prompt and accurate submission of any required documentation, notes and record keeping in our proprietary systems (ticket system and CRM)

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) are a plus
  • Maintains a positive attitude under pressure
  • Comfortable handling escalated customer interactions
  • Great active listening (and reading) skills to ensure you understand each customer’s needs
  • At least 1 year of working in a call center environment
  • Time management skills: A multi-tasker that can handle a high volume of calls/tickets/emails/opportunities
  • A basic understanding using the Microsoft Suite of products
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics or FreshDesk
