Linux & Monitoring Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

Join our IT Operations team and be responsible for ensure stable operation of the global TeamViewer platform and facilitate further growth.

Assure high availability of our customer-facing infrastructure and help to ensure the smooth operation of all critical and externally hosted systems throughout the organization
Take responsibility for the set-up, further development and maintenance of the monitoring systems
Design, develop and maintain our Kubernetes platform with our cloud provider
Support and consult other teams in the realization of solutions based on Kubernetes
Operate, monitoring, fault detection, troubleshooting and error analysis in the area of the Kubernetes platform
Monitor cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premise systems and services, ensuring availability and optimal operations of the Teamviewer services
Work with the local and global teams, close collaboration with R&D developers
Design and implementation of new concepts and solutions for the optimized and efficient operation of the systems, Infrastructure as a Code

University or college degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or any other related field. Any professional work experience in a relevant field is an alternative
Knowledge in Linux, mainly in RHEL-based distros and Ubuntu as well as in system administration and hardening
Experience in working with container and/or Kubernetes environments (e.g. Docker)
Experience in the field of DevOps topics such as Application Server, Kubernetes, Saltstack, Ansible and/or Terraform
Used to work with Monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Uptrends as well as visualization tools such as Grafana and log management tools like ELK
IT Networking knowledge is a plus
Programming skills in Golang, Python, and PowerShell
Automation skills in various platforms such as SaltStack or Ansible are preferred
Git and CICD knowledge is required (GitLab)
Enthusiasm for new, innovative and technical subjects along with an understanding of customer and market requirements, trends and developments in the IT industry
Fluency in English is mandatory, further languages such as German are a plus

Contract location would be Göppingen or Stuttgart, Germany
