IT Administrator and Engineer

  • Accountable for provisioning, management, support and performance of all internal IT infrastructure and business applications in line with our policies
  • Provide “Help Desk” and troubleshooting support to staff located in our APAC locations ensuring advice is delivered in a professional and timely manner
  • Continuously monitor and analyse IT facilities and infrastructure to ensure integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
  • Provide advice to management regarding capabilities and constraints of technology and resources, identifying and recommending scalable solutions
  • Collaborate with Corporate HQ in Germany to direct, plan, develop and implement IT projects and strategies to ensure IT facilities and APAC branch offices meet the needs of the business
  • Negotiate offers with vendors in regards IT, Electrical, facility procurement, and take responsibility for the IT budget for the APAC locations
  • Develop support systems to manage crisis situations, ensuring the organisation has emergency backup IT support when required
  • Responsible for facility, asset and personnel security, ensuring all security measures meet internal and external compliance standards
  • Initiate activities to create security awareness within the organisation

Critical Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field and at least 5 years of relevant work experience, or a combination of Industry Certification in relevant major IT products (eg. Microsoft client/server, VMWare) and relevant work experience
  • Expert and up to date technical skills: Windows 7/8/10, Windows Server 2008/2012 and Active Directory, server virtualization with VMware / MS Hyper-V
  • Commitment and ability to provide a customer focused, “Help Desk” service
  • Working knowledge of IP telephony infrastructure. Genesys or other cloud telephony knowledge preferable
  • Proven ability to design, install and manage IT infrastructure to ensure performance of systems and applications is reliable, secure and meets the needs for the business
  • Ability to manage diverse network Server’s providing file/print, security, web and client server applications to provide a secure and reliable system without data loss
  • Driven to systematically and continuously update own technical and professional knowledge
  • Innovative, proactive and methodical approach to work, with the ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to / inform about emergency situations effectively
  • Ability to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels of the business
